What happens at the end of Halo: Reach?
Halsey and the AI Cortana. Six ends up sacrificing himself, however, as he is overwhelmed by Covenant forces. He ends up taking his helmet off and faces death as he’s eventually overtaken. Halo: Reach is easily the most somber of the series, and for good reason.

Is there a legendary ending for Halo: Reach?
There is no such existence! Never actually realising this myself is the fact the existence of a legendary ending in reach is impossible. if you take a good hard look and go back in time you will notice that all legendary endings for previous halo games provided a suspenceful link between it and the next game.
Is Halo: Reach sad?
Reach is Bungie’s final game in the series it created, and Tung admitted it is a “sad goodbye” for the studio. “The team is extremely proud of the game. There’s always stuff that falls by the wayside, but I think we got everything in that’s critical to the game and more.”

Bungie confirmed he died, and I believe 343 has as well.
Is Lasky alive in Halo infinite?
DeMarco and his team provided cover long enough for the delegates to escape but were subsequently killed when their cannon was obliterated. Lasky later presided over a memorial service aboard Infinity where he commemorated their sacrifices.

Why is Halo ODST so sad?
The game’s mood is very melancholy. A lot of it takes place at night, in an evacuated city on Earth called New Mombasa (in Kenya). You start out as the “Rookie,” who’s trying to find out what happened to his missing squadmates. It’s a lonely place to start the game — dark and deserted — which is why I love it so much.
